Description:

Hi my name is Vegas. I'm a German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix and I am about 1 year old. I'm new to LDDR so my foster mom is still learning things about me, but so far she knows that I'm a big teddy bear! I love snuggling up with my foster mom and dad, and sitting on their laps (who cares if I'm almost 50 pounds? I still think I'm a lap dog!) I love playing with my puppy brother and I am very gentle with him. I have a talent, I can stand on my hind legs like a human for a pretty long time, especially if you have a treat, I love those! I'm pretty good on a leash. I'm very skinny and my foster thinks I was a stray for a little while before I came to LDDR. Even though life has been pretty rough on me recently, I'm still a happy and loving boy. I can't wait to find my forever family! If you would like to meet or adopt me, please fill out an online application.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs/cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's/cat’s shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog/cat is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs and cats MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs and cats back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog or cat.

The  petfinder.com  system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs and cats. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
