Sydney is a great dog!  She is a pit/lab mix. The vet said it looks like she may have had puppies! God only knows what happened to them. Her foster found her running across a busy street in Detroit, and snatched her up very fast. She came right to her like she was waiting for her. She is SUPER affectionate, and will lay in your arms on her back like a baby. She is well behaved, calm, and appears to be house broken.  She aims to please!  But she does have a bit of separation anxiety. She would be best in a household where someone is home most of the time. She currently has 3 other dogs that she is loose with with while her foster mom is at work, and she will chew furniture if left alone for too long.

Note: You are applying for a dog that may or may not be considered a bully breed by certain counties. Please check breed specific legislation for your county, city, condo/apartment complex, and home owners association. You may use this site as a starting point:

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption.  AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification.  The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted.  If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip.  Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times.  Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do o ur best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes. We appreciate you stopping by.
