Description:

Heidi is a sweetie and is extremely easy to care for. She is very happy and loves other dogs. She has visited several houses, each with other dogs, and has done great. She completely ignores cats. Heidi also gets along well with children.  She allows kids to run up to her and pet her without any problem at all. She has spent time around an 8 year old and a 4 year old and did well even when she had a pig ear to chew on.

Heidi has lost a little weight and is still increasing her length of walks.  She is a go anywhere kinda girl. She loves meeting new people and can't understand why anyone walks by without petting her. She has turned out to be one of the most relaxing fosters I have had.  She walks a mile a day right now and does very well with that. She has suck short and tiny legs, it isn't a brisk walk for me, but it is for her. At night, she loves nothing more than a lap to lay on while you watch tv. She's a very quiet pet and very relaxing to have around. She's very small, so should be with kids that are cautious of her tiny size. She is a delight and would fit into most homes.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The  petfinder.com  system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
