Description:

Tot is a beagle mix and her life has been a struggle from day one. She ended up in a Ohio shelter  just weeks old with her sister (now adopted). She came to us not to long after that. She was full of fleas, worms and ticks. Tot's personality was a bubbly one. While in foster care she became ill.  Her foster mom took her to the vet hoping for the best but was told Tot had parvo, a staph infection and an infestation of worms. She was admitted and her fight began. She went from weighing 12lbs to 7lbs in 2 days. Her liver stopped working properly. She had 2 blood transfusion and a feeding tube put in. 15 days is what she spent at the Vet's, but Tot never gave up. Fast forward 8 weeks, mutiply vet visits and eating like no other, Tot is now a healthy 17lb little girl whose look will make your heart melt. She's a cuddle bug and loves to be around others.  The ideal family for Tot would be a home with another pup, children 8 yrs old and above, a fenced in yard and allowed to be on the furniture.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption.  AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification.  The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted.  If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip.  Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times.  Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
