Emmie is a sweet loving girl and enjoys playing and being with other dogs. She loves children of all ages. She is working on her house manners. Emmie and her brother were in a very crowded high kill urban North Carolina shelter-72 dogs and 19 cages. Due to the high intake of dogs and few adoptions not even puppies are safe. The shelter volunteers reach out to Rescues all over the United States. Luckily a volunteer from LDDR was available to transport. Unfortunately Emmie's brother died right after being pulled at a local emergency vet. The vet guess-from worm anemia. Luckily, very sick Emmie was able to get the treatment she needed. Thanks to LDDR Emmie is a healthy, happy, playful girl today and is waiting to find her forever home!

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
