Description:

He goes by the name Rockey but his middle name is Dare Devil!  He is a lively boy with a passion for life. He is a true example of how resilient dogs can be. Nothing holds Rockey back from exploring and experiencing life to the fullest...Rockey is such a happy boy considering his past.  At a young age he was hit by a car and it broke his pelvis in 3 places, but it has long healed. If you met him and I hadn't told you it was broken, you would never know. Rockey plays with the 6 other dog here with no problems. He jumps up the steps to the patio, he tries to jump at the fence, though he will never make it. He chases the critters in the yard just like everyone else. He loves attention and pets, and gets vocal to tell you he likes it. He would love a family of his own to share his life with, but children should be older and know how to respect him and his pelvis issue. If you would like to know more please email his foster mom at beachblue1156@aol.com

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption.  AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification.  The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted.  If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip.  Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times.  Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do o ur best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
