Description:

In March 2013 Jam was left on a roadway by a farm and Animal Control was called to pick him up. Needless to say, he was very hungry! Jam was in pretty rough shape when we got him. He was almost bald due to mange and very thin. He spent the next several weeks playing and chewing his bones by the wood burner so he could stay warm. His mange was cured and he recovered.

Jam is a cute little guy, who loved to splash around in a kiddie pool and chase balls. He was with us until July 2013 when he was adopted to a lady with two younger children. His training was continued and he earned his first certificate.

Recently, he was returned to us, not anybody’s fault.

Jam currently is back with his fosters on the farm with a large yard and dogs to play with. He is electric collar trained to stay in the yard and to go hiking in the fields. Jam knows a variety of commands and hand signals. He is a playful pup who needs his family to be around most of the day and would like another friendly dog or active family to play with.

He thinks he is a lap dog!

For more information please contact his foster Denise at deemworden@gmail.com

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption.  AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification.  The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted.  If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip.  Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times.  Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The
petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do o ur best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
