Description:

This is Wayne and I believe he is a Yellow Lab mixed with Shar Pei due to teh fact that he has a head full of wrinkles.  :-)  Wayne is a very nice boy who loves to be near his people. He may need a few days to get comfortable but once that happens, he is a real sweetheart. Wayne is crate trained and potty trained as well. He is playful and likes to run around in the yard with other dogs but settles nicely once inside. He does not know any commands as of right now and he would greatly benefit from some basic training courses so he can learn to be his best self. Wayne is a medium sized boy making him the perfect fit in most any living situation. He travels well in the car and enjoys to go for walks but does pull a bit. He has met the children in the household and doesn't seem overly interested but I believe he would be fine with kids. He is currently living with 4 other dogs. Wayne is a good boy and will make someone very happy but we do feel that he would be best with an experienced owner as he is yound and needs basic obedience trainning.   If you would like to watch some video of Wayne's energy level, please feel free to watch the video at this link.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_U8Yaq6tx4Q  Thank you and have a good day.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption.  AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification.  The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted.  If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip.  Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times.  Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do o ur best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
