Description:

Inuyasha is a 6-7 year old Labradoodle. He loves to play fetch with his favorite toy, a deflated basketball. He has a lot of energy (but not hyper) and will jog with you.  However, he’s only good for about a mile sprint. Inny takes time to warm up to people but once he does he makes a great companion. He likes to be with his person and will follow you wherever you go, but isn't the kind of dog that likes a lot of affection. He’s really handsome and has a beautiful gait.

Inny will need an experienced dog owner and strong leader to help him be the best dog he can be. He is currently in a boarding and training program where he is learning his manners. He knows basic commands such as sit, stay, come, and down. He loves to go for car rides!  He takes awhile to warm up to people. We believe he has trust issues, so whoever adopts him will have to take it slow. So far, he really loves one of our volunteers and he looks to her for affection.  We wonder if he’s the type of dog who is a “one owner dog”.

Inny is crate trained, house trained, and always a sucker for a dog biscuit! He is good with dogs. Inny would so best in a home with no kids or cats. In fact, we will not adopt him out to a home with young children.  His previous owners did not have children so we believe he is not comfortable around them as he doesn’t know what they are!

He’s a beautiful dog! Time and patience is what this guy needs. And, well, a deflated basketball, too.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
