Description:
Lucy Lyn is a love and will give you kisses if you let her! She will also ask for belly rubs, then she runs off and lays not too far from you.  She makes the cutest noises as if she is trying to tell you something very important or just to let you know she is enjoying her belly rub.  She is a very easy dog to have around. When I am home she is free in the house and does not have accidents nor does she damage anything. She is crate trained and is crated while I am at work.  I work for 9 hours and come home for lunch to let her out.  Lucy is a calm and quiet dog that seldom barks. She does get excited about going for walks, when I come home, eating or just going outside. She walks nicely on a leash with her tail up and wagging and she will heal with a little effort on your part.  Lucy is also good in the car and will just lay down in the back seat without needing restraint.

Lucy is extremely shy with people and would prefer to hide behind someone she trusts. She had been neglected terribly in the past and was also mistreated. Because of this she will probably always be afraid of new people. I do walk her and introduce her to neighbors as often as I can. You can win her trust in a day or so with a little bit of patience and some tasty treats. Once she looks up at you with those big brown eyes and big smile you will be in love. Lucy was part of a bonded pair when she came to LDDR, but we realized they were fine apart. Lucy now lives with 3 other dogs from 12 lbs to 60 lbs. I don't know how she is with cats but I suspect she would be OK.

Lucy Lyn need to stay on a perception diet. She does not eat very much so the cost should not be a problem

If you think you can give Lucy Lyn the love and security she deserves, please fill out an application and apply for her. I promise once you get to know the real Lucy Lyn you will fall in with love her! She is a doll!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
