Description:
Mitzy-moo is a young-at-heart senior with the most expressive eyes that melt your heart. Her beautiful sable coat is splashed with white and chestnut highlights which give her a reddish glow in the sun. Her beauty has been marred, however, by a past that has left her with scars, both physical and emotional. Mitzy-moo lived for years in a hoarder home with many other dogs. At some point in her life Mitzy-moo lost a portion of her rear leg. Because of this she tends to hop to get around and the remaining portion of her rear leg twitches when she is standing. She was also under-socialized and hides from people who come to the foster home. With other dogs she is outgoing, but a bit bossy. With people she trusts she is loving and devoted, and loves to cuddle. She is a good watch-dog as those adorable ears tune in to every noise. Mitzy-moo is crated trained and very clean in the home. She is micro-chipped, spayed, and UTD on her shots. She does have a heart murmur, but it does not slow her down. Mitzy-moo would love a patient family and quiet home to live out her golden years. It will take her time to adjust to a new environment, but she will be a great cuddle-buddy once she has made that transition. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption.
