Description:
Hello, my name Dawn. I can be pretty irresistable once we get to know each other. Patience and love is all I need to build my trust and bond with you. With time, you will see what a happy dog I can be, and that I will come greet you with a wagging tail. My foster mom says I have a smiley face when I am happy or get excited. I love other dogs and have been frequently seen giving kisses to the dog buddies I live with. I have not been around too many cats though, but when I walked past them I didn't bother them.Thunderstorms and fireworks are not a bother, but I can be startled with quick sudden movements or noise. If you are looking for a walking partner, I am your girl! I reallly do enjoy walks, especially if my dog buddies are joining me. On my walks, children have come up calmly to pet me and say hello,  and I have been a perfect lady. I just have not been around children that often. A fenced yard is a must, as I like to run and play and need freedom  to do my business. I am housebroken and quiet in the house. Every now and then I will let out a bark if I need something or get excited, although I am patient with my needs. As far as crating goes, my foster mom has fed me in my mine which I gladly run into when it is time to eat, but I much prefer my time out of the crate. I like to use my crate as a place of refuge if I need a few minutes to myself. Car rides make me a little nervous, but I do lay down nicely in the back of the car. I have been patiently awaiting my forever home. Could that be you?

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
