Description:

Dusty is a sweet, sweet dog. He loves everyone - has been fine with kids, men, women and is fine with the other dogs. Because of his size and exuberance for play, he would do best in a home with older children. We have no idea about cats as he hasn't been tested with any yet.

He loves to play and loves attention. Give him a new toy and he will play for hours. Watch his video below so see how even a new piece of raw broccoli can keep him entertained. He sits nicely for a treat and for his dinner, and walks pretty well on a leash for such a young boy although he can still use some work on pulling when the walk first starts.

Dusty was urgent at a shelter and the volunteers sent out a plea for his life to be saved since they all loved him there. LDDR stepped in before his time was up. Dusty is now looking for his forever home. He is such a nice dog and will make a great 4-legged companion!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
