Description:
We have fostered Coraline for several weeks. Coraline is a curious, smart, friendly, active, and athletic dog. Cora came into our house as a handful of young dog. She is less than 2 years old with lots of puppy energy. She plays and plays, but she does calm down. She is very sweet. Cora is very sociable. She likes people. She like dogs. She likes cats. Cora gets frustrated when one of our other animals does not want to play. She is not aggressive, but she is not submissive. She will hold her ground. She will do great with another high-energy dog to grapple with. My 75 lb  male lab will engage for a while, but when he's done Cora keeps going. Cora will entertain herself with squeaky toy or a chew toy.  I highly recommend a crate for Cora. She has gotten used to being crated. Cora is lab mix. My guess is lab with some Staffordshire terrier (pit bull) and other. She also has brownish hue in her black fur. She has boxy head, tubular body, short ears, white on rear toes and white streak on chest. I do not recommended Coraline for a family with small children. She is still mouthy and plays a little rough. Cora will climb in your lap. She knows sit command, but needs to learn other basic commands. She responds to verbal correction. She's a good dog and will be a great companion.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
