Description:
Holly is a really sweet girl who has had a tough time as a pup. Someone wasn't very nice to her then dumped her at a shelter where she was going to be killed. Luckily, everyone saw how super sweet she was and begged for someone to save her, so LDDR took her in.

Holly loves to cuddle, loves to play other dogs and LOVES her kiddie pool. She would spend all day playing in the pool if we let her. She is crate trained, house trained and usually only chews on her toys. However, if left alone and bored, and shoes or something else really fun is left out....she might chew on it. She is not crated at night here and she never gets into anything. She would stay in bed, cuddled up to you, all day if you let her. She does still need to learn a few leash manners, but she gets better everyday.

Because of Holly's past, she does get a little frightened when meeting new people and she will back away and growl a little. But I have teenagers at my house all the time and as soon as she sees they will not hurt her (less than a minute), she loves them SO MUCH and sleeps with them. It really helps if she has a doggie friend to show her that people arent scary. She gets very scared if someone yells at her, or even uses a squirt bottle at her so she would need positive reinforcement training only!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
