Description:

Hi, I am Martha. My foster mom thinks I am such a character. I can be a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I will make you laugh with my silly antics. I love to play fetch with my tiny tennis balls and I sometimes try to pick up toys that are bigger than me. Don't get me started on snuggles--I will fall asleep on your lap or right next to you. I can jump on my hind legs and give plenty of kisses. I even know how to sit and am quite obedient!

Note from foster mom:
Like many chihuahuas, Martha tends to bond with one or two people and wants to be close to them as much as possible. Martha's owner recently passed away, and we are looking for a quiet home where she will get a lot of attention and love. Priority will be given to applicants with breed experience or that are willing to research the breed. Other dogs are okay as long as they are "lower energy."

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes. We appreciate you stopping by.
