Description:

My name is Valerie but most people call me Val. I love attention and to be around people… I even love kids (5 and up is best). I am a total snuggle bug. I love to have my belly rubbed so much that I will roll over for you.   Everyone always says I am the sweetest dog ever! I am very easy to please and I am ready for whatever you want do…..if you want to go for a run, I will run. You want to be lazy….I am a great couch potato! You want to play fetch…..I will be waiting with my tennis ball! You grab my leash and I’m ready for a walk. In fact I love walks and car rides. I don’t care where we are going…I’m ready! I’m great on a leash and I ride great in a car too. My foster mom says I am so easy and laid back. I don’t chew on things unless they are my toys and bones. I am not a big barker…..in fact I really only bark at the UPS guy but my friends say I have to do that if I want to be a real dog. I am house broken, know some basic commands and I’m great in my crate.  I am up to date on shots, micro chipped and spayed. I would prefer to be the only pet and trust me, you will not need any other pets because I will give you all the love you need!   I have been with Last Day Dog Rescue for over a year now and I have been waiting so patiently for my forever home. Please come and meet me, I just know you will love me!

If you are interested in meeting me or adopting me please fill out an online application and if you have any questions please contact my foster at   cbrookszy@yahoo.com

Valerie’s History :

Valerie was rescued by Last Day Dog Rescue on June 20th   2014. She was found on the side of the road in Flint, MI. She was starving, nothing but skin and bones. The doctors found a ball stuck in her intestines and had to do emergency surgery to save her life. Once they removed it, Valerie was on her way to a long recovery and she started to feel so much better. Now she is thriving and happy. She loves life and loves people even more!

Valerie was adopted in November 2015 to an amazing family but unfortunately had to be returned on May 31, 2017 when her family went through some very hard times. Valerie is very excited to find her new home.

Valerie is a volunteer favorite and deserves the very best home. She is so happy and her tail is always wagging! So many people in the community pulled together to save this dog, now it is time to get her to her forever home.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
