Description:
Hi, my name is Greta. I am probably about six years old but I don't really know because I have no concept of time. I can tell you that Last Day Dog Rescue truly did save me. I lived in a backyard chain locked to a three foot lead for most of my life. I had a dog house but I could only get halfway in because the lead was just too short. I wasn't fed properly at all and I was emaciated weighing only 18 pounds. I don't know if you know this but I'm a beagle and I love food! Since my rescue 2 weeks ago I've gained 2.3 pounds. The vet said I could still use some more padding and I say challenge accepted! I eat really good now and if you're not careful I might try to steal some of your food but can you really blame me? The vet said I needed to gain more weight and I'm just trying to follow those instructions. I am crate trained and when my foster parents say 'go home' I go right in. In fact when I'm really tired I go in there all on my own. I love people and I love cuddles! Belly rubs are my favorite. I also love other dogs and to play with stuffed toys. I'm learning from the other beagles I live with that we are a special breed and should be spoiled. I'm warming up to this task with ease! I'm spunky and smart. I love walks but also wouldn't mind being a couch potato. I love being outside and sniffing all the smells now that I can run around. I also go to the bathroom outside. As you can see I'm a talker and love a good 'arrooo!' I'm now looking for my forever home where I can be spoiled by good people...could that be you?

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
