Description:

Meet Katie Lynn!!

This 5 year old (best guess), fully housebroken, beautiful, silver-black (goofy looking) puggle gal is just about top of the line when it comes to the fine art of Love n' Cuddlin'.

Give her a few moments to warm up and you won't meet another dog who is going to be as dedicated to those most important of all doggie-related tasks: being the best companion you've ever encountered. Katie's long (and short) term goals include keeping you warm at night, sharing your lap during movies and TV shows, warming your toes as you sit at your desk and happily following you about as you go along your day (just to make sure that you're doing all right). Her passion in life is patiently listening to you go on and on about anything and everything while concentrating her whole heart and soul into assuring you that everything is going to be fine simply because she is by your side.

There's nothing your family will be interested in that Katie Lynn won't be up for. If a hike is on the schedule, she'll trot right alongside you. Planning a lazy day with a good book? Katie will make sure there's a soft head resting on your shoulder at just the right height for comfort and coziness. Feeling sporty? She'll happily join in for a game of fetch or tug. Pondering a leisurely bath or showering off the kiddos from a day spent outside? Well, your tub had just better be big enough for two. (We kid you not!)

Katie is also great with other dogs, although she can be a bit bossy at times. Cats in the house? She easily learns which ones should be left alone and which are up for some playing. Kids? If they're gentle, she's going to love them.

If you work, this little pug-beagle mix will wait patiently for you until your return. But if you're home most of the day she will be in absolute heaven.

Sadly, Katie has gone through quite a few family transitions already in her short life and yet, amazingly, has kept her spunky personality and heart of gold very much intact through it all. It doesn't take her long to make friends with new people when they are gentle and move slowly with her. Take just a few minutes to get down on her level and, by nighttime, we'll be willing to bet that Katie will be snoozing contentedly right by your side.

It's not often that a small dog with big eyes and goofy teeth rolls into the rescue carrying along with her an Olympic sized capacity for love. But here she is: enthusiastic, ready . . . . and waiting.

Now it's just up to you!

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
