Description:
Rango is a young sweet little pup. We are estimating his age to be possibly around 4-6 months old. He is a rat terrier possibly beagle mix. He will probably be around 20-25lbs. full grown. He is pretty calm and lazy for a puppy. He likes to curl up with his people and could just lay there all day. He loves kids but does like to nibble on your hand due to him teething right now, so younger kids (5 years and below) may have a problem with that. He does like to play and chew on the doggy toys. He is a little scared of the squeaky toys right now, but we are hoping to help him of that fear. He is great and completely submissive to all dogs. He is a bit shy and would do best in a home with another dog to show him the ropes. He likes to play and wrestle around with the other dogs. He does not do well with cats. He likes to jump on them and nip at them, so a home with cats would not be the best place for him. He is doing really well on housebreaking and is crate trained also. He is still working on being walked on a leash. He is a little uncertain of it and just sits there waiting for you to pick him up. His favorite thing is to curl up in the blankets with the other dogs or his people. He is such a little lover! It's hard to believe that this little guy ended up in a shelter.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
