Description:
Hi I'm Madison! Sometimes my foster mommy calls me 'Maddie.' I was found by animal control running loose in West Bloomfield, MI. I sat in the shelter waiting for my family to come.... But they didn't :( Instead, this awesome rescue group picked me up on Halloween and decided to give me a second chance at life!
I'm a young girl- the vet thinks only a year or year and a half old. I am trying to gain some weight as I'm a little thin right now. My teeth are sparkling white and my legs are like springs! I am active girl who loves to play with other dogs and I ignored the cats when I passed by them in the shelter. I have a beautiful, light fur coat that requires very little maintenance- just a bath whenever I get dirty. I am spayed, up to date on all of my shots for the next year, and I already know basic commands! I do like to 'talk' to my foster family when I want something, but I settle down really well and love going in my crate to nap. They tell me I'm a German Shepherd & Carolina Dog mix.... Which means I'm super smart and will be a great family dog! I can jump pretty high, so I would love a yard to run in or an active family member to take me out for a jog every now and then. I'm ready to meet my forever family... one who will never abandon me again! Please contact my foster mom if you want to know more about me: LDDR.psrdogs@gmail.com
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. MaMad Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
