Description:
Ivy, is a momma of 6 babies. They were on their own for a bit but Ivy was at one time someone's pet? She seems as sweet as pie loves to give little kisses and is crate trained. She does well in the house if you pay attention and take her out on a regular basis, but at this time she is not house trained (she either forgot or needs a refresher course?) I am not sure how she is with kids yet as Ivy seems a little timid and skittish at times. After all she has been through, she has a sweet disposition and deserves a loving home where someone will have time and patience for her. I would suggest a fenced yard or a active person (walking, jogging) for Ivy as she likes to bounce and run around the yard, and when she gets a scent of something she likes to follow it!!
Ivy is heartworm positive. She will be receiving treatment soon. All costs associated with the treatment will continue even after adoption. Once her treatment is complete, she will be able to get spayed. The foster parent will be able to provide more detailed information.
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
