Description:
Hi, I'm Karla! I am looking for my forever home with someone that will give me lots of love, cuddles, and play time. My foster mom says I'm a big time snuggler and that even though I have energy I settle down really quickly and nicely. I really like being around my human pack, and I'm a very good girl. I might be a little shy at first but don't worry, all it takes is a minute or two and I'm ready for a scratch and some play time. I would love to have some kids in my family, but not too little because I'll get really happy to see them and might accidentally bump them over. I love to play with all sorts of toys and to play fetch. Oh and boy do I love to run out in the yard! I also really like going for walks and mom says I'm one of the best dogs on leash. Sometimes I get surprised by new noises, but I am just curious and may come see you for reassurance. Now and then I need a little reminder to eat my food instead of the kitty's food, but we get along well and I don't mind if he eats my food. I know some basic commands such as sit, drop it, no, off, and wait. I am also crate trained, but I'd rather be with you! My mom says I am still a little confused about where I am supposed to go potty, but that I'm getting much better. The consistency that she gives me really helps, so I'll need that to continue when I come live with you. I am ready for someone to give me the chance to show them what a perfect pet I can be!
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs/cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's/cat’s shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog/cat is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs and cats MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs and cats back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog or cat.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Karla - Mn Litter (Mom) - ADOPTED 03.16.16 (click to see larger version):
