Description:
Hello, my names Albus! I'm roughly 20 weeks old and I'm a
German Shorthair/Terrier mix
, however my foster mom thinks I have some sort of hound in me because I have a deep bark and when I smell certain things I lift my front leg up like I'm onto something. I'll be going to the vet soon so hopefully they'll have a better idea. I have tons of puppy energy but I will sleep with you through the night snuggled right next to your side. My foster mom puts me in my crate when she has to leave and I haven't had any accidents inside it, and she came home to me sleeping soundly, but it's not for long periods of time. When she's home she lets me run around the house and when I need to go outside I run to the door and sit down. She has a cat in the house- and I don't bother it, I try to play but the cat ignores me so I respect him and leave him alone. I haven't pushed my boundaries with him and he hasn't had to hiss or growl at me so I think we are both very comfortable with eachother and maybe with time we will become friends. I'm a very smart boy and listen very well, I've been introduced to young kids already and when they put their food on the floor to eat, my foster mom told me no so I didn't bother them or try to steal their food. I'm a very smart puppy and already know sit and lay down. I just want to please and I warm up very quickly to the people around me. If someone's giving affection, I'm taking it. I would love a family that has plenty of time to work with me as I grow up, I'm a puppy, and puppies can be hard work, but I'm sure I'll make a great companion.
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs/cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's/cat’s shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog/cat is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs and cats MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs and cats back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog or cat.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Albus - ADOPTED 01.21.16 (click to see larger version):
