**I am currently very eager to find my home! So, I am involved in the Name Your Own Price Promotion, name your price today & I could be your new family member! Please see our Name Your Own Price Webpage for more info!**

M addy has completed her 6 week training course with her foster parents. They have noticed a night and day difference with her! She loves to please her humans, and now she has the direction and training to do just that! Maddy is now a wonderfully trained dog and is in need of her forever home so she can give her love and devotion to her new forever family!

She is very comfortable in our house and with our cat, as they play together throughout the day now. She gets walked frequently as she is a very playful, energetic dog. Walks are definitely the highlight of her day. She has been taught to be walked and not walk the person, she just enjoys being outside. We have found that she is also a very good running partner. She has been introduced to many people here as we have went out of our way to bring new people to our house and get her accustom to guests. Her new  command is, “leave it” and she is doing very well with it. She has learned to let us know when she needs to go outside and go to the bathroom now that she is comfortable to her surroundings. Maddy wants nothing more than to please her owners, the best example is how much she loves to snuggle. We love having Maddy and wish we had a yard that would work for her needs. She is great with kids as well!  We watch our nephews (both under 3 years old) every other week and they leave wanting to take her home with them as they play together all day long. We are currently undergoing a 6 week obedience class with Maddy to make her that much better of a family dog for someone.

Maddy is doing great in her foster home. She gets lots of walks with her foster parents and she is progressing with her leash training it's a slow process but she is getting better. Maddy is very jumpy concerning the cat in the house but they are not chasing each other and are learning to get along. She still has a lot of energy and would be best in a fenced in yard she just wants to be outside all the time, she goes on lots of walks and likes to run in open fields, she seems to really enjoy it. She is truly a loving dog and is always trying to please her foster parents and they very much enjoy having her.

Now that Maddy has had time to acclimate to her new foster home she is much more relaxed and is now a favorite! We are working on a few things with her, when she gets excited she still jumps up. Also, she is a digger and she loves to follow her nose especially to small animals like squirrels. She would very much LOVE to chase squirrels all day long if given the chance. She loves every dog she encounters and may be a little much for those that don't have as much puppy energy as her, but she means no harm! She is a little timid about meeting new people in the home setting but once I show her they are good people she gladly will climb all over you and give you kisses. Her past must have shown her that not all people she meets may greet her with love and belly rubs.

She now knows how to shake and stay, "come" on the other hand is showing us some problems but we will get there! She loves to play chase, and running would have to be her favorite thing to do. She would VERY MUCH benefit from a fenced in yard!

This is Maddy. She was dumped on a county road. We think she was dumped over the bank in a crate and some how she got out and all you could see were her scared eyes watching for someone to come save her.  She likes other dogs and kids. She loves to play with anything that makes a noise.  For more info on Maddy, email Tim at tmb611@msn.com

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
