Freedom Ride / Transport
Nothing beats the feeling of witnessing the look on a dogs face when he realizes he's on his way to a better life. Be part of that experience by joining the Transport Team.
Transport a dog and/or cat from an animal shelter, to a veterinarian office or kennel, or to a foster home.
Transport a dog and/or cat to and from adoption events and special events.
Events
Last Day Dog Rescue events are a fun way to get to know the other volunteers, fosters, dogs and cats in your area! After you join LDDR you can RSVP to events you can attend. Our volunteers help handle dogs and/or cats and assist fosters at the events, sharing their attributes with potential adopters. What better way to get a doggie or kitty fix?
Photography
Are you magic with a camera? Join the photography team. A photograph's power to saves lives couldn't be more apparent than in the case of rescue animals. We need great photo's of our animals that are available for adoption, and of successfully adopted animals. Also, you would be taking photos at adoption events, special events, and fundraising events.
Administrative
Due to being 100% Volunteer operated - we are always in need of volunteers for administrative and social media roles, below are some of the opportunities that may come with different time commitments.
Vet Checks – Join the Vet Check Team. This would include contacting potential adopters vet references.
Adoption Follow-Up Team (aka Roxy's Team) – Help with calling past adopters to make sure all is going well with their adopted animal.
Professional Consultants – Offers a perfect way for busy lawyers, insurance specialists, veterinarians, tax consultants, and others to contribute as needed.
Fundraising – Coordinate and/or help with creating opportunities to raise money and acquire material goods essential to LDDR.
Web & Design – Become a LDDR Web Team member
Graphic Design – help with brochures, literature, signage, and other artistic pieces needed either in print or on the website.
Website Content – help with writing the LDDR Blog, writing bios for the animals, writing Happy Tails articles, and other creative writing areas on the website.
PR and Communications – Become a Communications Team member
Newsletter – weekly and monthly
Needs Rescue Email Coordinator
Needs Foster Email Coordinator
Social Media – Join the Social Media Team
Public Facebook page administrator – post updates, events, keep the public engaged
Twitter admin –on behalf of LDDR, forward or answer questions
