Meet Lucky Macy!
This sweet pup is lucky to be in LDDR's care. She was pulled from a high kill shelter as she had a growth coming out of her eye, which is quite abnormal for such a young pup. After she was safely in a foster home she went to the Ophthamalogist to have her eye checked out. Turns out Macy is lucky to have vision in that eye! She suffered a trauma shortly after she opened her eyes when she was a baby, more than likely a sibling or mom stepped on her. Due to her being so young, her body went into action immediately and started healing her eye. She has what is called a Staphyloma which is where the corneal tissue went into repair mode and she now has a small bump on her eye. No surgery is needed, no medication, and she has no pain.

Macy is a very active pup! She wants to play, play, play! Her big foster sister Mia is a little too large to play with her, but she tries. Macy loves her toys and she also loves to chase her foster kitty sisters. One of them stands up to her and she doesn't seem to bother that one as much anymore, she will learn soon that they are friends and not something to chase. She sleeps through the night in her crate, she will cry if she needs to go potty. She stays in her crate when we aren't home and has no problem with it. She loves to cuddle with you when she is sleepy and will follow you where ever you go.

UPDATE: Macy is potty trained, she has not had an accident since the first couple days I had her. She will go to the door when she needs to go out, otherwise I let her out often. She is learning the "Eh" sound I give her when I want her to stop doing something, say, chewing on her big foster sisters tail! She has also learned to 'sit', 'come', and to 'shake' and she is only 12 weeks! She is almost there with 'lay down' as well. She does not bother 2 of her foster kitty sisters anymore, but her foster kitty brother Hickory, loves to taunt her and wrestle with her. They play together all day long! She is very smart and very attentive, she is food driven and will be very easy to train in puppy classes. She is learning to walk on a leash and is such a wiggly-butt when she meets anyone new. Macy has had all of her shots & boosters. She will get spayed and her Rabies when she is 16 weeks.

Macy is such a cutie and a lovebug that she will find her home quickly, please consider filling out an application today at www.lastdaydogrescue.org

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
